The plot and first trailer to the sequel of the 1995 Jumanji movie have been revealed! The movie’s complete title is Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.
Storyline: In a brand new Jumanji adventure, four high school kids discover an old video game console and are drawn into the game’s jungle setting, literally becoming the adult avatars they chose. What they discover is that you don’t just play Jumanji – you must survive it. To beat the game and return to the real world, they’ll have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, discover what Alan Parrish left 20 years ago, and change the way they think about themselves – or they’ll be stuck in the game forever, to be played by others without break.
The main cast includes Dwayne Johnson as Dr. Smolder Bravestone, an archaeologist and explorer, Spencer’s avatar. The nerdy gamer, Spencer, is meanwhile played by Alex Wolff. Kevin Hart as Franklin “Moose” Finbar, a zoologist and weapons specialist, Fridge’s avatar. The football jock, Anthony “Fridge” Johnson, is played by Ser’Darius Blain. Jack Black as Professor Shelly Oberon, a cartographer and scientific genius, Bethany’s avatar. Madison Iseman plays Bethany, the prettiest girl in school. And Karen Gillan as Ruby Roundhouse, a commando, Martha’s avatar. Martha the wallflower overachiever is played by Morgan Turner.
The movie has a supporting cast that consists of Nick Jonas, Bobby Cannavale and Missi Pyle. The film is directed by Jake Kasdan according to the script written by Chris McKenna, Eric Sommers, Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner. It has a release date on December 20, 2017.
