These young actors are rumored to be on the short-list to play Sony/Marvel’s second reboot of Spider-Man. Get to know them a little bit here.
First on the list is Natt Wolff, the oldest (he is the 20 year-old while the rest are either 18 or 19). Where we may have known him: In the Paul Rudd and Tina Fey dramedy, ‘Admissions’, playing Fey’s possible son.
That also awkward moment when you realize that he is the other half of that awful Nick kid’s show called the Naked Brothers Band. I’m just glad that Natt has improved his career so far.
Tom Holland played the young boy in the film ‘Impossible‘ and now 18 years old will soon be seen in Ron Howard’s ‘In the Heart of the Sea’.
Asa Butterfield is the actor here who has the most publicity, starring in three famous and well-received films ( Scorsese’s ‘Hugo’, 2008’s ‘The Boy in the Striped Pajamas’ and 2013’s ‘Ender’s Game’).
Will his impressive resume and striking blue eyes help him get the role?
Liam James is a Canadian actor who is famous among Psych fans as the younger version of the faux-psychic crime-fighter Shawn Spencer. Since Psych, he has only been in TV shows and nabbing minor roles in movies, that is until his breakout role, along with Steve Carrell, in the 2013 movie ‘The Way Way Back’.
Last is the French-American actor, Timothee Chalamet. Like James, he is mostly seen on TV but has recently nabbed film roles since his participation in the underrated, Jason Reitman directed ‘Men,Women and Children.’
It is important to note though that these actors’ names were gathered from multiple individuals who has knowledge on the casting and even the actors themselves are clueless if they really are considered (except for Natt Wolff who seemed to now something by denying to answer an interviewer’s question).
And interestingly, since the list is treated as top secret, there could be possibly more names in the list that we don’t know and that some of the boys here ARE not really in the list.
