EW just released a teaser of the new Ghostbusters movie and our inner Slimer is happy.
Although no other details are shown aside from a proton pack burst and some ectoplasm, we get to see a glimpse of the rusty Ecto-1 which means that this movie will follow the original 1984 film starring Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Bill Murray and the late Harold Ramis.
Another Reitman will be taking the reins in yet another Ghostbusters movie. This time, it won’t be a reboot like Paul Feig’s all-female Ghostbusters movie in 2016, but a sequel that will follow the trajectory of the original film from 1984, which was directed by Ivan Reitman.
Up in the Air and Juno director, Jason Reitman is no longer hiding the secret that another Ghostbusters movie is in the works. Reitman will be directing and co-writing the script with Gil Kenan (2015’s Poltergeist).
Based on CBM, four new proton pack wielding individuals will be introduced.
Expect to see a trailer of this new Ghostbusters movie later this year before it premieres on theaters in 2020.
