Check out the video below from Mr.Sunday Movies and find out what was on the Star Wars cutting room since 2012, including those by George Lucas. Obviously, spoilers ahead.
A number of artists were given the job to create “a set of guided imagery that served to get the creative juices flowing” so there are a lot of unused images. Not only that, George Lucas and Michael Arndt’s ideas were scrapped in favor of JJ Abram’s scripts, so its interesting to see the “what-could-have-beens” in the movie.
Wanna see the original Rey and Finn (their names were Kira and a very white Sam) sketches, drawings of ancient lightsabers, and Luke Skywalker with a ponytail. Not to mention “Vader’s helmet being the mcguffin, Han Solo not being dead, a Jedi killer being
the main antagonist and a sith imposter claiming to be Anakin Skywalker himself and an Anakin/Vader hybrid ghost appear in the film. . All of these rejected ideas can be found in the pages of The Art Of Star Wars The Force Awakens.
