Star Wars: The Last Jedi has been called as shocking by the cast. Not only that, the questions set up by the Force Awakens will not all be answered in the sequel, says executive producer Kathleen Kennedy.
Executive producer and Lucasfilm president, Kathleen Kennedy, was in a recent interview. She praises director Rian Johnson work on the sequel but she dropped that not all questions will be answered in the film.
“I think [Rian’s] done an exceptional job of taking these new characters and some of the legacy characters and moving us to this next place,” said Kennedy via LRM. She continued, “He doesn’t answer all the questions, I will say that up front. But there are certain questions he does answer in a really wonderfully provocative way, and I think there’ll be some surprises that people aren’t expecting.“
The Force Awakens has set up a lot questions. Knowing that the sequel, The Last Jedi, won’t be answering all of them can be frustrating. Hopefully, all these waiting will be worthwhile at the end.
