Director James Gunn is teasing a Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 music video featuring the main characters and a special cameo by a guest actor.
It’s obvious that the home release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will contain a bunch of fun bonus features. Including is a music video for “Guardians Inferno,” the disco-inspired track that plays over the movie’s end credits. If you hear the song below, you can tell that it is sung no other than Baywatch star David Hasselhoff. However, you need to get your hands on the home release of the film to be able to watch the video.
Totally random? Not really. Teeny weeny spoiler alert, in the movie, young Peter Quill used to tell his classmates that his dad is David Hasselhoff. This prompts Ego (Kurt Russell) to morph into the Hoff so that he can have Quill in his side.
Naturally, the actor performs a disco number over the credits (which also include the cast, in costume, showing off their best dance moves).
Gunn announced the music video on social media today:
BTW, from left to right, that’s Karen Gillan, Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Sean Gunn, maybe Vin Diesel (?), Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, and Michael Rooker in their ’70s best.
