Millie Bobby-Brown deals with another type of monster in the first trailer of Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
Our world is changing. The mass extinction we feared has already begun, and we are the cause. We are the infection. But like all living organisms, the Earth has unleashed a fever to fight this infection. Its original and rightful rulers, the Titans. For thousands of years, these creatures have remained in hiding around the world. And unless all the Titans are found, our planet will perish, and so will we. They are the only guarantee that life will carry on.
The trailer shoves it up to mankind’s bumholes that we are the Earth’s cause to its destruction and it has summoned the help of ancient monsters to deal with the “infection”. Godzilla, Mothra the moth, Rodan the Pteranodon and King Ghidorah the three-headed dragon are all seen in this first trailer and, one thing is for sure, this is going to be epic on the big screen.
Aside from the monsters, Millie Bobby-Brown, Vera Farmiga and Kyle Chandler also star in this movie as a family who gets up-close and personal with the monsters being connected with a secret organization called Monarch. The film also stars Sally Hawkins, O’Shea Jackson, Jr., Thomas Middleditch, Aisha Hinds and Ken Watanabe.
Michael Dougherty (Krampus) directs and co-writes the screenplay with Max Borenstein (Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island).
Godzilla: King of the Monsters is slated to hit theaters next summer, May 2019.
