RON COMES THROUGH FOR HIS BROTHER.
Director Ron Howard has a role for his character actor brother Clint. Howard continues on the trademark of casting his family in his movies. And the family member with the most appearances is no other than his younger brother Clint Howard.
Ever since the news that Ron Howard got the directing job, fans are tweeting that he should give Clint a supporting role, or at least a cameo. It became clear that the director had intentions to cast Clint in the untitled “Han Solo” project when a fan asked him on one of his latest twitter posts.

Clint Howard has acted in films such as “Night Shift,” “Cocoon,” “Splash,” “Parenthood,” “Far and Away,” “Frost/Nixon” and “The Paper.” He was also in 1996’s Apollo 13 as NASA Engineer Seymour Liebergot, as Whobris in 2000’s “The Grinch,” a referee in 2005’s “Cinderella Man” and an environmentalist in Arrested Development.
Director Ron Howard has commented recently about filming Han Solo:
“It’s a fantastic script, a great cast and I am having a fantastic creative experience with it,” Ron said. “It’s a great young cast, incredibly strong — smart, funny people who love their characters and love being part of this. I think we’ll be able to do something that is a lot of fun.”
