They filmed ‘X-Men: Days Of Future Past’ there and will once again use the 27-acre Mel’s Cité du Cinema studio facility.
Set construction for the next installment will start on December and shooting on April. This means a huge economic shot for the city.
During the filming of DOFP, up to 40 set were built up in the city. The biggest was when they made an exterior monastery which covered the facility’s 36,500-square-foot Studio H. The movie generated an estimated $100-million for the Montreal economy.
