So, this is like The Descent only underwater?
After the worldwide box office success of Aquaman, Warner Bros. has set its sights on a spinoff of the movie’s deadliest creature from the depths of Marianas Trench.
With a domestic total of $325,247,042 (as of Feb. 7, 2019), Warner Bros. is planning on an Aquaman spinoff which focuses on The Trench, the ocean-dwelling race of evil creatures that are driven only on its primal instinct to feed. Aquaman Director, James Wan and Peter Safran will be producing the project, called The Trench, with a script from first-time screenwriters Noah Gardner and Aidan Fitzgerald.
Details of the spinoff are still unknown but THR reports that the main cast of Aquaman will not be featured in the project, which is not a total letdown especially to fans of this movie genre.
