Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales rules the U.S. Memorial Day Box Office weekend (May 26-29).
It beats Guardians of the Galaxy and Baywatch. Pirates 5 now has a total of $76.6 million from US cinemas meanwhile they earn an estimated foreign haul of $208 million worldwide.
Next on the list is Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The movie earned an estimated $19.9 million ($24.2 million after Memorial Day). As a result, the movie has earned an estimated $333.2 million domestically, and an estimated $783.3 million worldwide so far — already more than its predecessor’s total earnings ($773 million) at the end of its run.
In spite of the box-office hit, Pirates 5 is not a hit among critics. It currently garners a 32% at Rotten Tomatoes.
