Amidst the many claims regarding casting and plot synopsis of the Fantastic Four reboot in 2015, its director Josh Trank (Chronicle) denies everything except for this known fact: “The only truth in that plot description is that there are four characters named Reed, Ben, Sue and Johnny,” as Badass Digest reports after a recent phone call with him.
Curious about what the rumour mill is churning about these days? For starters, claims about screen tests for the four main roles throw names of Miles Teller (The Spectacular Now) as Mr. Fantastic, Michael B. Jordan (Friday Night Lights) for the role of The Human Torch, Christian Cooke (Magic City) for The Thing, and Emmy Rossum (Shameless) and Kate Mara (The Open Road) for the part of the Invisible Woman. There have also been some allegations that Fox, the studio behind the reboot, is probably going for a heavyweight to portray the role of Dr. Doom and that they might switch genders for it, The Hollywood Reporter announced.
