The Man of Steel sequel is slowly coming out of development limbo as Warner Bros. set their sights on Kick-Ass director, Matthew Vaughn as helmer.
With notable films under his directorial belt, such as X-Men: First Class, Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kick-Ass, Matthew Vaughn is Warner Bros’. first choice to helm the highly anticipated Man of Steel sequel. Collider reports that Vaughn is the studio’s top choice to take helming duties for their upcoming Superman movie. Preliminary talks about the prospect has already taken place but a final decision is yet to be made. Warner Bros. has also expressed that if Vaughn passes up the Man of Steel sequel, WB would still want to work with said director in another DC movie.
Vaughn is currently doing post production of the Kingsman: The Secret Service sequel, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, with Taron Egerton, Channing Tatum, Julianne Moore and Halle Berry.
