A new re-imagining of the famous Edgar Rice Burroughs character by Warner Bros is in the works right now. The film stars new Hollywood sought-afters Margot Robbie, as Jane Porter, and Alexander Skarsgård as Tarzan.
Unlike other Tarzan adaptations, this will not be an origin story but will focus on how John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke (known before as Tarzan) return to his jungle roots.
The film already has some controversies including director David Yates leaving the project to focus on Warner Bros other project, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and how it could possibly be another expensive box-office plop when it comes out in July. Also, nobody asked for another Tarzan film but let’s see if the the first trailer will make us interested.
Official synopsis: Tarzan, having acclimated to life in London, is called back to his former home in the jungle to investigate the activities at a mining encampment.
Also starring are Christoph Waltz, Samuel L. Jackson, and Djimon Hounsou.
