Another YA Sci-fi novel to film adaptation is underway.
The newly released novel titled Illuminae has gotten rave reviews for its unique take on the genre so of course it’s get the attention of film studios. Warner Bros and Brad Pitt’s Plan B are planning to make it into a movie and probably a franchise. Hey, every film studio are making franchises now.
The novel was written by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff and is about “a teenage hacker and her fighter pilot ex-boyfriend, struggling with their broken relationship while they unearth a conspiracy surrounding an intergalactic war that has them dealing with an enemy race, rogue artificial intelligence and a deadly virus”.
The film studios are currently looking for screenwriters.
